The Mountaineer Flatlander Invitational took place Saturday in Mansfield. The North-Penn Mansfield cross country team had four finishers in the top ten, two boys and two girls, in the 5000 meter run finals.

Emma Harris posted a time 23:04.00 to finish fifth followed by Grace Farrer with a time of 23:56.00 in seventh.

For the boys Sam Shedden placed sixth with a time of 18:53.00 and Noah Shedden finished in ninth with a time of 19:12.00.

Following the weekend meet the North Penn-Mansfield track team competed in a meet in Wyalusing.

North Penn-Mansfield boys cross country team finished the day with a win and a loss. The boys record now sits at 3-1.

Leading the way for the Tigers was junior Sam Shedden with a time of 17:56.00. Noah Shedden followed close behind with a time of 18:49.00. Daniel Giantisco rounded out the top three for Mansfield with a time of 19:04.00.

The girls team fell in both matches against Wyalusing and Canton. Bringing their season record to 2-2.

Emma Harris was the first to finish for Mansfield with a time of 21:34.00. Grace Farrer finished in 22:37.00 Shelby Alexander came in third for Mansfield with a time of 23:09.00.

North Penn-Mansfield will travel to Oswego this weekend for an invitational meet facing Towanda and Athens next Tuersday at home.
