More than 228 athletes participated in the annual Tioga County Special Olympics track and field event on Friday, May 20, hosted by Mansfield University.
“As a whole, Special Olympics has grown, but the track and field event has grown tremendously,” said Tioga County coordinator of the event, Addie Milheim. “The track and field event, along with our bowling program, bocce ball and basketball programs are targeting even more of the younger athletes, school aged from third grade to 12th grade. It is amazing.”
