Miller seeded in top ten in multiple events

Claire Miller is the seventh seed in the 100 meter dash, fourth in the 100 meter hurdles and second in the 300 meter hurdles.

The District IV AA track and field championships begin Thursday, May 16, in Williamsport.

Below are the top female athletes in each event. Also included are the top seeded local athletes in each event.

The 100 meter dash is led by Hailey Zurich from Loyalsock with a seed time of 12 minutes and 54 seconds. Williamson’s Claire Miller is seeded seventh with a seed time of 13.00.

In the 200 meter dash Sage Harmon from Bloomsburg is seeded first with her time of 26.01. Williamson’s Miller is seeded 12th with a time of 27.66.

Harmon leads the 400 meter dash with a seed time of 58.03. Wellsboro’s Savana Baltzley is seeded 23rd with a seed time of 1:06.20.

The 800 meter run is led by Lauren Trapania from Warrior Run with a time of 2:19.61. Jules Jones from Williamson is seeded ninth with a seed time of 2:28.77.

Jones is seeded second in the 1600 meter run behind Loyalsock’s Isabell Sagar. Sagar posted a seed time of 4:55.49 which bested Jones time of 5:22.75.

In the 3200 meter run, Sagar is again seeded first with a seed time of 10:32.09. Jones is seeded third with 11:49.99.

In the 100 meter hurdles Southern Columbia’s Kari Cambria is seeded first with a seed time of 15.04. Williamson’s Miller is seeded fourth with a seed time of 15.90.

The 300 meter hurdles is led by Rachel Hutchinson from Athens with a seed time of 45.10. Williamson’s Miller is seeded just behind her in second with a seed time of 47.70.

Loyalsock leads the 4x100 meter relay with a seed time of 49.84. Wellsboro’s 4x100 relay team is seeded sixth with a time of 52.20.

In the 4x400 meter relay Lewisburg is seeded first with a seed time of 4:06.44. North Penn-Mansfield is seeded 16th with their seed time of 4:42.39.

Mount Carmel’s 4x800 meter relay team is seeded first with a seed time of 9:50.26. Wellsboro is seeded 16th with a seed time of 11:55.20.

Williamson’s Charly Slusser is the top seed in the high jump event with a seed mark of 5-4.

Loyalsock’s Zurich is the top seed in the pole vault event with a seed mark of 12-3. Delaney Doan from Williamson is seeded 12th with a mark of 6-6.

In the long jump event, Sophia Gardner from Loyalsock is the top seed with a seed mark 18-3 1/4.Williamson’s Slusser is the sixth seed with a seed mark of 16-3 1/2.

Blessing Laudermilch from Wyalusing is the top seed in the triple jump with a seed mark of 36-2. Wellsboro’s Dahlia Hosey is the second seed with her mark of 35-5 3/4.

Kailey Swineford from Midd West High School is the top seed in the shot put event with a seed mark of 37-4. Williamson’s Abigail Medina is seeded 23rd with a seed mark of 28-8 3/4.

In the discus throw event Lewisburg’s Maddy Downs is the top seed with a seed mark of 110. Felisha Earle from Williamson is the seventh seed with a seed mark of 89-5.

Cassidy Stackpole from Athens is the top seed in the javelin throw with her seed mark of 123-5. North Penn-Mansfield’s Grace Tice is the fourth seed with a seed mark of 116-6.

The district championships begin Thursday at 6 p.m. at Williamsport Area High School.
