A 19-year-old driver suffered a suspected minor injury in a two-vehicle crash on Bloss Mountain Road, Liberty Township July 23. Mikayla G. Rossell, 19, of Blossburg, and Theodore H. Stehman, 82, of Blossburg, were both traveling north, Rossell in a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze and Stehman in a 2009 Jeep Patriot, when Stehman pulled off onto the berm while attempting to make a U-turn. Rossell, driving behind Stehman, pulled out to go around him when Stehman turned into the path of Rossell’s vehicle. Stehman was not injured, both were wearing seat belts. Rossell was transported to UPMC Williamsport by Blossburg Firemens’s Ambulance for treatment of her injuries.

Austin L. Short, 22, of Lawrenceville, escaped injury in a hit and run crash with another vehicle on Jackson Center Road, Jackson Township July 30. Short was traveling south in a 2009 Acadia when another vehicle traveled into his lane of travel. While attempting to avoid the unidentified vehicle, Short drove off the road and hit a pole. The other vehicle fled in an unknown direction. Short was wearing a seat belt and was not transported to the hospital.
